The real goal of vouchers is, and always has been, to let rich people send their kids to private school on our dime, not theirs. Religious school or secular school doesn't matter as long as we pay for it.

The rich hate paying school taxes, and with vouchers have found a way to keep their tax money. They don’t give a damn about anyone else’s children being educated. I always ask why they would want an uneducated child growing up and filling all the service jobs they’re going to depend on in old age?

And defunding public education. Here in Texas, 91% of children attend public schools. Yet Abbott is withholding funding for those schools in order to advance his private school subsidies agenda. Despicable. They want us sick, uneducated, and constantly working.
