Banning flags other than American flag from public areas and sidewalks. So counties wonβt be able to but school flags out for parades? Or say seasonal flags for holidays?
This brings back a conversation with Gino Bulso in the Capitol. I was in opposition to a bill and asked him to vote noβ¦he said, β My constituents elected me to vote this way,β to which I replied, βI am your constituent.β
They just donβt care about having honest discourse. Thereβs no integrity.
I understand the usual bigotry for two of these bills, but can someone explain why theyβre introducing the marriage one? Isnβt that already the case in Tennessee?
volunteer! Even a small difference is a difference. Join a political org that speaks to you. We cant win our state back by hiding. We have to fight. Im a part of tn equality project and mid tn dsa
Indiana is doing the same crazy shit. Republicans have a super majority here, so they can do whatever their fascist hearts desire, even overriding any vetoes.
Traditional values? Whose? From those who still live in the dark ages?
Waving a rainbow flag hurts you where exactly?
How about live and let live? Too much to ask, is it?
Someone actually interested in that when drafting such bills (instead of just saying it while being 'I didn't care what damage I do' reactionary) would have half a clue that *county and municipal flags exist*.
In Knoxville's case, they've been flying the current flag for over a century.

Republicans have zero idea how to govern. They no longer believe that they work for us; ALL of us, not just their own party members.

Itβs like the priest in Chocolat who is horrified by the sensuous chocolatier & shop and in the end breaks in and eats all the chocolate π
