No mention of that on the campaign trail. Wouldn't play well even to the diehard MAGA rally types. He left it to Musk to be the first to mention pain. AFTER the election.
He means that keeping his fetid orange ass out of jail is worth the price WE are paying. Thatβs all he cares about. That and his protection racket. And if his complicit repugnican party think they are safe from the second floor balconies or windows, they should look at Russian history.
I been researching Tariffs & US History for the last few days. I can't see how this would make sense today. Maybe in 1860, but by 1928 tariffs created problems. What's he bringing back next, Prohibition maybe? π
25% of the population, i.e. ultra rich, will laugh at our pain as they continue to carry on as normal. Another roughly 25% might have to adjust and be more frugal. The rest who live paycheck to paycheck just work harder, maybe take on a 3rd job that migrants used to do.
Someone else posted this meme and it is so on point. He won't feel any of the pain he is inflicting. He doesn't care. This is to push his own personal agenda, none of it is in the best interest of America. His post is just more for fodder for his cult.
Hereβs whatβs different. Other countries now know they are dealing with a criminal. A convicted felon. A liar. A bully. Backing down from someone like Trump makes one a loser, marking them for further abuse. It enslaves them to a dangerous dictator who already thinks he can steal entire countries.

I don't get what they're going to do with more wealth aside from hurt people. Who wants to do that?
