An independent board was established to review and approve/reject name changes anyone may suggest, a president one opinion equal to any of ours.
...But even so, 13.8 miles off shore, Gulf of Mexico is an international waterway. It is not #Felon47 's new discovery to name and has had its name since before 1550. Any name change has to go through a separate foreign naming body. Why would anyone think one elected maniac can change it on whim?
