The DOJ has argued that Musk has no authority so which is it. Does he have authority and therefore accountability? Or does he not? Further, when the OPM email server was setup to enable this harassment, it also included a policy that any responses were voluntary. So again, which is it.
If so, it falls so drastically short of existing federal law that every single termination with that as the cause should end up before a judge. That there is legal argument before a court saying Musk has no authority as well as a policy saying responses are explicitly voluntary, OPM has no case.
No civilian needs to know about the sensitive and secret work we are handling everyday. We will only answer to our chain of command. Anyway/ We would never respond to a public email account in the first place.

Twitter is not an official form of communication for federal employees. Especially from a person who is only in an "advisor" role. Last time I checked advisors have no authority. Their only purpose is to advise.
He thinks the United States is a company he and Trump acquired via a hostile takeover and that the United States Civil Servants are their at will employees. They are not. They are the employees of the American people. Trump was only elected to MANAGE them for four years. Musk wasn't elected at all.
