MEMPHIS VS. MUSK: “There’s a silent takeover happening in MEMPHIS, and the people most affected by it are being left in the dark… Elon Musk claims XAI will create over 300 jobs, but only 37 listings exist and they’re mostly in California...”

Why no solar + storage? Looks like a pretty big roof. Why not cover it with solar panels coupled with industrial Tesla battery packs? Not trying to start a debate, but just genuinely curious why he wouldn’t incorporate his own products in the design.
Shady Backroom are Musk's middle names. Read an honest account of his backstabbing, ambushing Tesla takeover. Talk about hostile. And now he takes all the credit for Tesla. Doesn't deserve ANY.
If a business is getting tax breaks and claims x new jobs, the contract should require them to employ at least x local people for the length of that contract.
Happy to see you guys covering this story. The proposed "Gigafactory of Compute" in Memphis is one of the craziest things I've ever read about. Elon is truly delusional if he honestly believes it can be completed by the end of the year.
Announced in June and running in September. The city sold him more land recently to expand so more water and electricity usage. We are told he will build a gray water reclamation facility but I have my doubts. He has no incentive. Our leaders were star struck by his riches. Very secret deal.
This is what is on the agenda. No EPA to stop them. In fact, they give them their full approval to ruin our water, air and anything else they decide is important,
In a rush to get Colossus up and running, Musk’s AI company is relying on the same environmentally unfriendly, natural gas-powered turbines used to restore power in natural disasters.
Just heard about this a week ago. TENNESSEE CITIZENS PAY ATTENTION. These are the kind of projects that help the wealthy and hurt the citizens all over America.
Yeah, & those types of jobs unequivocally will hire OUTSIDE of the community, claiming the lack of needed jobs kills. This has happened in my state also. The company ws Foxconn. So even if it "creates 300 jobs," it won't be that community that gets hired. Employees will come from somewhere else.

Pay NO attention to what they SAY.
Watch everything they DO like a hawk. Laws, boundaries & norms mean NOTHING to them.
