Quick announcement: very pleased to have signed a contract to co-edit (with Dave Forrest) a new book series on British cinema for BFI. Further news to come, but in the meantime if you've got ideas for innovative books on any aspect of British film culture, do think about sending them our way!

Then, about the second part of your post. Do you mean that, even me french guy, I could send to the BFI ideas of books about british cinema ?
I have one, that fills a gap in the market (to the best of my knowledge), but currently have little beyond the central theme.
As outsiders they see the things Brits miss.
Altman’s Gosford Park is a coming attraction for me.
The Go Between also.
