Firstly, my impression is that the "wow" factor in some of the finds has definitely gone up a notch this year.
Secondly, though, is nobody looking at any archaeology from during or after the Victorian period? Everybody seems to be digging ancient sites.
So much to mull over in terms of unanswered questions.
So far I think this year has been the best yet and that is really saying something.
Thank you.
Love Orkney and going back again this summer. My 10th time there I think but will feel strange going back to the Ness of Brodgar.
"Lush"? No - please not! 😄
I can't help with wondering what the people from the pat would think if they heard us speculating about the burial sites and rituals!
They might just say - what on earth are they on about? The hair there because was just a Barbers shop !!
With global sea levels over 75 meters lower than today the landscape would have looked very different than today.
I can't wait for his online Q&A.
'What did it eat?'
'Anything it wanted'
