Ultimatums are in the rules to ensure there remains one traitor until late in the game. Traitors do have an advantage. The games and 'seer' have been designed to weaken that slightly. I think the games have been really well designed, particularly the chess.

Last year they were always given the choice between murder and recruitment IIRC but this year they seem to be making the choice for them?

If the faithful banish all the traitors it seems unfair on them to keep moving the goalposts IMO. Good for drama but bad gameplay.

I don't think they were ever allowed to murder when down to only one traitor. Where they have had two traitors they have always had free choice to recruit or murder in this series (I think).

Yeah, the actual game format… isn’t that great? 😅 Essentially no actual evidence for anyone to go on - ever. And no real point in trying to vote traitors off, given your reward is normally just having a new one parachuted in.
