I'm debating it heavily. Been looking at lenses here and there and bodies and they do seem very very interesting. Ability to match 8 stops of IBIS + lens OIS on Lumix... Is quite amazing
Agreed. Main factor for me is price cause MTF cameras can be old but still very capable, they had so much more features than their competitors back then. Also the huge range of lenses, there are a lot of gems in there
Yeah I agree with you on the lenses... Price wise and quality wise. The 12-50mm Olympus zoom lens I have from 2016 is trashing my APS-C prime lens.
The other reason why I'm starting to look at MFT is weather sealing. I was stuck in rain yesterday under a tree which annoyed me... I could've continue
I actually considered the oly 12-50mm too but ended up settling for a Lumix 12-60mm. And yeah the weather sealing is a pretty big thing too, just being able to take your camera under the rain seems like a very useful thing to have, idk if there's any other system with WS as good as MFT
Is that the one with f2.8 constant aperture? I think I saw one.
Yeah, the weather sealing part to me is starting to become a big matter now and I never really looked into it that deep... MFT is probably hands down the best in terms of IBIS & WS and no other format can beat it.
Nah, I don't think there is a constant aperture 12-60mm f2.8, there's a leica 12-60mm f/2.8-4, but I don't have that one either lol, it's a lowly f/3.5-5.6 :p
On the WS thing, pretty much the only other brand I've heard has good weather sealing too is Pentax, i don't really hear much about others
