I think Fletcher has been poor but we've not scored goals with or without him. He's not the sole problem but he's unfortunately not the solution either.

A scapegoat is someone who is blamed for failing in their contribution as part of the lack of success of a larger group. I think in this case it's an appropriate term.

I really don't. He offers virtually nothing. In fact, he gets in the way more often than not. It's easy to pick out little positive bits, but in general we'd be a stronger attacking force without him on the pitch.
He's not been a disappointment. He's lived up to expectations.

As noted in the piece, I don’t think he’ll ever be the scoring outlet Blackpool need, nor will he last long based on his performances on the whole so far, but his struggles are part of a wider attacking problem.

Joseph is the only one with credit in the bank at the moment.

He's been very disappointing, I want to see the best in players,and somewhere there is a very rare glimpse of a player in there, but 90% of the time he's offered very little.I believe his demeanour/ attitude doesn't help,and that's what's caused the mass criticism, which then snowballs with fans

I think the last month in particular he’s failed to make any sort of impact on the chances he’s been given, but the problem runs deeper than him.

The majority of the criticism of him is fair.

It is,but as we see,fans latch on, then go on and on criticising every move.CJ had that but turned it round to some extent, but there are still people who won't stop slagging him off,I'm not sure Fletcher can turn it round.(For reference I think he's rubbish, and lazy.....cue a goal on Saturday 🤣🤞)

We knew what we were getting when we signed him. In that sense not his fault blame the men in suits. Hes not a scapegoat though.
