I think the back half of season 3 is probably the closest it gets to being as consistently good as the first, there are a few decent moments/episodes outside of that, but overall not a very satisfying (re)watch.
I mean, the first season, sure. Its practically perfect. I feel like finishing it is optional. Heroes hurt me more than GoT did. So, ya know, biased opinion here.
Came here to say excited things about the 2022 Chinese wuxia drama series and realised half-way through that you meant the mid-00s US drama series. My bad!
I watched Season 1, it was mostly good with a few odd flaws, watched maybe 2 episodes in S2 and tapped out. S1 is alright I think, maybe dated?
Season one is almost perfect. Every season thereaftwr is lamentable garbage. But! Weirdly! Zachary Quinto is emminently watchable throughout. That guy is so damn compelling, he can make the absolute worst script worth watching. Everything else is unsalvageable, alas.

Check out the Korean one called Moving though which is excellent and has similar vibes.
Americans really need to get over the fact that a good show can last 1 season, end, and have a new cast/story the next.
