I saw one for the first time a few weeks ago in Stanley Park, Vancouver. I heard it first, and then followed the sound. It was high up in a dead tree. I then played it's calls back via Merlin, and it was very intrigued!
I love these birds! The one you posted is a female. I have a pair that nest in my area and come to the suet feeder frequently. I think I’ll have to invest in one of the big feeders for them. Have a lovely day!
