The issue is that (in my experience) it is virtually impossible to set up a new account and get posting permissions to /OSR. That might be only for non-US or users, or some other criteria is being used by the filters, but it excludes many of us.

Part of the frustration is that there's often no explanation from Reddit leaving users to speculate on the criteria.
