Either way, I don't think reading ahead will take away from how good a scene is when the animation direction is as good as it is in the show.
That last backstory hit so much harder with the music and motion than it ever did reading the page

This, i felt horrible when i first read but when i saw the episode i broke down in tears. The anime imo is a better way to experience dandadan as you can get the full experience.
