Amazon is shutting down its facilities in Quebec — coincidentally not long after 300 workers at one of its warehouses there formed a union. They’re the only unionized Amazon workers in Canada.

What we have done in the Nordics is that unions work in solidarity with each other. This story about McDonalds in Nordics should be known, because too many Americans think stuff is nice in Nordics, because we are just "nice people". No we f*cking fight hard for it.

Or laws that allow sectorial bargain and real labour actions. Read this as an example of why unions get their will in the Nordics. It is all about large scale cooperation where almost a whole nation can be brought against a company. But we still haven't beaten Tesla
I feel that this will probably go under the radar but it should not. Québec might be one of the most union-friendly environment in North America. If this is what they do here, with all of our legal infrastructure around it, workers and organizers in the rest of Canada and the US should take note.
It's time for anyone who uses Amazon to quit. The Quebec closings should be reason enough but remember, Bezos is bending the knee to the tyrant who is the US President. Support his business at your (and our collective) peril.
