I'd say it's official, Christmas is no longer a hidden to celebrate "that one time" a year, when even non religious people aprciate " generosity, being nice, smiling, or whatever." Gettin that gift you could only get once of cost, availability, or meaning. It's a time to spend as much as possbl.
