Apparently it’s a point of shame that you can pay for PT with a credit card in Sydney but you can’t here, like it’s the worst thing eva about Melbourne’s PT.
I’m more ashamed that Sydney’s trains are quarter-hourly until midnight and my local goes to half hourly at 8pm.

App-based ticketing is where it’s at.
App-based ticketing may be more advanced technologically but it isn't necessarily the most convenient option if it were to be the default one.
This being said, I think Sydney has a fantastic ticketing system.
Can it be so heavily tied into whatever is different about NSW PT?
I suppose time based instead of distance based tickets is the big one.
