This is just a fraction of the good adventure games that have come out in the last year or are coming soon. Expand your horizons and you’ll find some real gems!

As a lover of classic adventure games, I'm not really a fan of action-adventure titles or 'playable movie' style games. In fact, I don't think it's quite right to primarily categorize most of them as 'adventure' at all. This is my general opinion, and not a comment on anything you've written BTW.
Just added a bunch of games to my wishlist. You wouldn’t happen to know of any point and click adventure rpgs that have or are coming out recently, would you?
My own expansion to this excellent list:
-Kathy Rain: great protagonist, fascinating story about the grief of a distant family member
-The Excavation of Hob's Barrow: both calm and chilling, a Lovecraftian story perhaps better that Lovecraft's own stories
And The Book of Unwritten Tales! I hear very little about them but they have very good graphics, are very funny (but not too much to become exhausting), a great cast of characters and a soundtrack that should have won like, 4 awards for the second installment.
Not all recent but skimming my library... Born Punk, Dead Synchronicity (would love a sequel), Detective Di, Kathy Rain, Lost Horizon, Memoria, Neofeud (P&C on acid), A New Beginning, Runaway, Tormentum, Verne, Whispers of a Machine
