In some cases I think the news is afraid to keep up. Just pointing out from my perspective that scale seems to be following news cycles not what’s happening.

I'm also not sure why their tracker resets towards the baseline instead of accumulating. As though each day we're waking up anew in our 2015 democracy with none of the authoritarian edicts from the day prior still in place.
