Not that DOGE cares about legality, but aside from terminating contracts, how are they able to "fire" individual contractors? My experience was always that the agency can provide certain pos/neg feedback but cannot themselves make hiring/firing decisions directly.
they are going to take the existing infrastructure and turn it into an organisation that protects the conmen in charge of the banks and other financial institutions, at the cost of every single ordinary consumer.
Reminder that the CFPB was created by an act of Congress and cannot be dismantled by the executive branch.
I'm not sure we realize that these repeated violations of the constitution are emboldening them to subvert Congress and the courts to the point they are no longer relevant.
