Sooo... I'm also hosting a YouTube series for @wired.com now that's focused on privacy and surveillance. The first episode, which is about Tesla, just went live. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7VHsDODU7E

This is not exclusive to Tesla. GM collects an insane amount of data through their OnStar services (even if you don’t have it activated on your vehicle) and sells it to data brokers who sell it to auto insurance companies
Interesting. Like I said, may have been a case of unintentional acceleration. From what I read, Tesla wouldn’t release the data. I thought the idea behind Teslas is to prevent the driver from crashing, anyway. So maybe they don’t like their sensor data being analysed or something?
Thanks for making all this info public. This is one of multiple reasons we sold our two Teslas. The others were that the cars were quite unreliable, had numerous recalls (!!), and were expensive to keep working.
I borrowed one of my besties cars, a tezla, to p/u a friend from a few miles away when I was carless and when in the Tesla I leaned forward to the wretched iPad and said “fk u musk” the owner of car and friend, who also works for big tech/AI flinched in an unexpected way fr

Great video! idk if you checked out Sam Curry's posts while researching the topic, but they're pretty illuminating about the lack of protection of automotive user data in the industry.

The "Brakes" are both the reversed polarity motor AND traditional. Both do not fail. She refused to have the car inspected.
