Ice is just like every other law enforcement agency . Arrest every one and let the courts sort it out . Besides that they fall under FPS . So they can in fact arrest any one they see fit at any time Fyi its not my story to tell - ThreadSky

Sorry, I am not familiar with FPS. What is that?

I doubt that ICE or any other federal agency has authority to “arrest anyone they see fit at any time.”

FPS - Federal protection Services . Like US Marshals . They have lots of power to make arrests any time they see fit

Perhaps our argument is a semantic one. “Whenever they see fit” may be what happens in practice, but the courts will want some probable cause and an offence within the agent’s mandate. ICE CAN arrest a citizen, as they demonstrated, but they SHOULD not.

O sorry I did not know we were arguing . I thought we where exchanging knowledge, thoughts and ideas . You are right , the Courts will rule on if there was probable cause an offence was committed . The question of should they . That is another matter all together .

An “argument” is an exchange of reasons for divergent views, so yes, in exchanging “knowledge, thoughts, and ideas” that were not congruent, we were “arguing.”
