Wait until you unknowingly disturb a nest of ground wasps and they attack you in a swarm. Happened to me a few years back. The pain was bad and it took a month for my face to return to normal.
It's been rapidly fluctuating between hot and cold here but every warm day we have is WASP CENTRAL outside 😭 I'm outside during every cold snap frantically trying to do yard work so I'll be done before they come back out lol
God yeah lmao. I have spheksophobia because my idiot child self liked to throw shit at wasps (that and I remember DISTINCTLY walking right into a nest in the woods). And I god traumatized by it all lmao. Funny enough, I do not fear bees. I like bees. bees can land on my arm anytime to vibe.
I hate spring! I have allergies and have to eat a teaspoon of very expensive local honey every morning. I am allergic to our friends, the bees. And since I live in New England, every day is a guessing game of freezing, not freezing. So yes I am boarding up my house and not coming out til summer.
In the equatorial regions (like where I live) Spring is just second summer and I hate it. It becomes pleasant to go outside during mid-autumn - winter. Because dear. god. the mosquitos.

I got over it, thank god, and it taught me a lesson in how to beat fear into submission with logic and determination.
It's what worked for me.
The pollen is out there…
