I think parenting has ruined The Sims for me, but I do want to revisit old, smooth brain games I used to enjoy. I'd ask for suggestions but I think I'm too stuck in my ways with games, I can only handle what I already handled in my childhood and adolescence - ThreadSky

I used to say this all the time--my kids looooved the Sims and couldn't understand why I didn't want to play a game in which I had to monitor the eating, sleeping, and moods of a bunch of fictional people

TETRIS! Classic Tetris (single-player only) was hard for me to find. Been playing CivVI (had played Civ III) with about 100000 mods so gameplay is much easier, but it has a learning curve at the beginning. It's smooth-brain for me now bc of all the mods lol I play for hours and don’t feel time pass

i mostly build rather than play anything in live mode. but if you are missing that aspect of it, the occult sims might be of interest since a lot of their gameplay is very much not life and maybe might feel like an escape again?
