If the AAP really stood up for the mental and physical wellbeing of children they should have a strong policy against circumcision and let the child have their rights, There is a reason most every other country doesn’t do this for non religious reasons and the AAP needs to take a stand for children

The AAFP needs to stand up also to the destruction of primary care in rural America. Millions of people in rural poor settings have been stripped of their coverage by Red state legislative moves. It has been hard enough in these states to provide medical service secondary to no expansion of medicaid

As a pediatrician I've asked them many times since 2009 to speak out against anti-vaccine physicians and anti-vaccinationists. They've never denounced an anti-vaccine physician and they last called out an anti-vaccine group in 2011. Congratulations if you can get them to grow a spine on this.
