I think the Covid response was medically correct but politically wrong. Lockdowns inflamed those who did not understand or trust the experts. The experts got labeled as the left and so were not to be trusted.
Given their theme of waste, fraud, and abuse, repeating a study that has been done many times and been accepted by medical experts seems like waste to me.
I’ll say it again. RFK Jr is an unqualified anti-vaxxer who is mishandling the TX measles epidemic, going hiking and advocating cod liver oil as a treatment. We did our best with Collins, who ultimately voted for him. She’s done. So are many victims.
The fight for scientific integrity is not as profound as a pioneering discovery or as glamorous as a first-rate publication, but it's just as important.
Fighting fraud is about protecting the foundations of science that we've taken for granted for so long.
And it’s worse than just “wasted taxpayer money.” It’s diverting diminishing research dollars away from consequential, frontier-pushing innovation in biomedical research and clinical investigations. We will sacrifice a decade (or more) of advances to placate idiotic conspiracies.
I can prove, conclusively, that red hair is caused by birth.
EVERY baby, child or adult who has red hair, was, at one time or another, BORN.
The fact that there are also people without red hair who were born is immaterial.
EVERY redhead is born.
Seriously, how can the public get accurate health information? We can no longer expect accuracy from the government who has abdicated it responsibilities. Is there a source we can trust? I usually use the Mayo Clinic, but these days we need a backup. 🤔
Those with customer service experience know--they don't keep repeating the question because they don't understand.
You already told them the answer. The fact.
They repeat the question until they hear the answer that they want to hear. Or you find a way to get them to fick off.
So, the Trump administration just wants mass suffering, right? I mean, that seems to be their only goal here. Bring back eradicated diseases that kill and maim kids just for funsies? They really are sadistic pshycopaths.
The problem is that bad actors can find some correlation that might trick people into thinking something is going on here. For example, he you seen the graph that shows an exact correlation between margarine consumption and divorce rates in America?
and it will not make a change, if finds no link the anti-vaccers won't believe it and if you believe in true science-you will see as predetermined before the study even begins if it shows a link. Autism has existed before vaccines, they were just referred to as demon possessed.
what will happen: there will be a "study", it will be quick, it will support the desired outcome — it's going to be a very, very long time, if ever, before any credibility can be reclaimed by HHS, CDC, NIH, or any of their departments...

makes no sense to me either
The most likely way to bridge this gap is fraud. Then the question becomes, what can we do?
And just as important is for the scientific community to communicate their critique of poor study design in a way the public can understand.
Fighting fraud is about protecting the foundations of science that we've taken for granted for so long.
This next round is for the children.

I think people only listen to money talk!
