All these essays explaining voters’ “legitimate concerns” and no mention of the terrifying daily realities of migrants who move to those voters’ neighbourhoods, improve their existences with their labour, and are rewarded with regular threats and violence against their person and their property.

People who write essays minimising fascism in Germany then get angry at the backlash - just stop it. Take the clicks and go. You know what you’re doing. None of these people ever mention politicians like Karamba Diaby who were beloved by many voters but were hounded from public office by fascists.

“legitimate concerns”. Either the
goal is to win back AfD voters (so nuance only detracts), or the talking points are shifting into centrist ideology -so should be debated. Problem of both is that the former leads to the latter while skipping debate.
