I've planted them twice, but as soon as they got a couple inches tall, something came by and ate the sprouts. 😢Tried different locations, but, CHOMP! overnight both places.

I am forever battling the critters over my precious plants. It's gotten so bad that I have to place vole proof cages INSIDE my deer and rabbit proof cages if I want my dear native plants to have a chance. It looks like maximum security prison for my natives, but they need this level of protection 🌱😊

Last year I tried wire baskets set upside down over Brussel sprout babies. Something chewed off what got close to the top, and then something got inside and chewed lower leaves on one plant, and through the stem on another. And it/something else ate my sweet potato vines....

Your garden is beautiful.
I can't wait until spring arrives
and the gardens come back to life.
The greenhouse carrots were doing great until the critters found a way in.
I wouldn't mind if they ate one here and one there. It's the nibbles on every carrot that drives me crazy.
