Extremely well written. This is her first novel (1927). My first of hers also I'm pretty sure. I won't call it action-packed, but then that wasn't the plan anyway. I enjoy the quality of the prose. I don't necessarily think, "Oh boy, I'm in the middle of a masterpiece." That's not to say it isn't ..

I enjoyed it so much that I immediately read it again once I finished it, and husband is reading it now. It is t what I would describe as horror, like so many of his are. It was set in a timeline I could identify with.

The Data Detective by Tim Harford. He will attempt to convince the reader that statistics are necessary to understand the world. So you could say that this will be a "confirmation bias" read for me.

If I finish that (likely), I'll move onto my mystery and science fiction magazine subscriptions.
