I don't know that NEA is using the same list. But Ted Cruz issued a report in Oct on funding going to "woke" research projects. An appendix includes key words that NSF and others are using in their mandated project reviews. Here's an article that includes the list:

They are also not offering advice or ideas about the "America250" insistence. Stating projects don't have to be about that theme. No nuance around projects that speak back to this propaganda ask the grant is now listing. again, very vague and staying far away from questions around race + gender #NEA

Super frustrated by this workshop. These grants are large amount of labor for artists. If I write 'black women artists' or 'black women performance methodologies' in my application will it be thrown out? THATS what I need to know. I never talk about DEI, I talk about decolonization #NEA #TheaterSky

in this same webinar, and same: I'm finding that they're just repeating a lot of info you can read in the guidelines. I imagine that reaching our to program officers/NEA staff will be more fruitful. I'm signed up for be a panelist for this year. Hopefully they don't throw it out because of my gender

I always appreciate when granting orgs walk us through application processes, but this moment right now? They should be transparent about what they know and don't know. and - yay for panelists! I doubt these will get thrown out for gender, but for potential panelist politics.

I was in the same webinar and this was my experience too. I started saying, "Blink twice if you're being held against your will," to the presenters. Who of course could not hear me because it was switched from Zoom to Teams so we couldn't respond in real time or ask ?s they didn't hand select.

It was SO frustrating. I don't know why I'd hoped for more, but I really, really was not expecting them to just read the guidelines and then "select" questions that were basically their FAQ and restate what they'd said in the first half hour.
