We all get this immediately, but what truism is it actually illustrating?
That (hetero) men are more than happy to have a naked woman about, but women feel threatened or taken advantage of if male nudity is thrown on them?
Should these things be discussed before they're entered into?

I called a guy out once who was sitting on the dune, blatantly staring at a woman sunbathing on the beach below, but then she said, "Thank you, but it's alright; he's my husband!" 😂
😳
Funny if you weren't me!
Two possible causes are...
Women bear children, men don't.
Marketing and conditioning
Probably many other reasons....
That makes the difference stark. One is beauty and joy, the other disguises joy for the dominant one with unmet need.
Everything, that is, except for exposure of the genitals.
Naked men are understandably, and sadly, seen as a threat. Naked women are not seen that way - understandably.
Waiving our dicks⬇️
Popping up naked where it isn't expected, where women are likely to be on their own, will feel threatening whatever the man's intention.
man and behave respectfully at all times
society as a whole sets impossible standards of physical beauty etc for females to sell things including body image etc
We could just choose to ignore both these precepts and carry on regardless.
And to worry about what people might think for the sake of the odd sanctimonious, holier-than-thou, self-righteous, indignant twat who likes to stick their nose into other people's business...
I remember breathing a metaphorical sigh of relief when I discovered that people didn't bother with that awkward display on European beaches.
For every male with good intent there are probably 2 that don’t. History shows very few female predators.
No wonder women feel threatened.
naturism is potentially a great antidote but it has to be tried to experience the benefits
But yes, it is telling of the state of modern society where even genuine clubs won't allow solo men to attend.
I NEVER answer the door naked, by the way (but I do put the rubbish out naked late at night sometimes).
What if they snatched me into their home and kidnapped or raped me?
Maybe this is an unreasonable thought absent stress, but stressed I would be.
At the door, I am immediately VERY close to another person whose intentions I may think are unclear.
A door implies a closed environment. A door can be locked. I can be kept from leaving.
Even if this mostly happens in the movies, the brain may believe it in fight or flight mode.
I think it is worth slipping on the shorts.
But this needs to be done in suitable public spaces – in parks, on beaches, in the countryside – as is done in other countries.
There should be zero tolerance for lewd, abusive and intimidating behaviour – just as in any other context.

As we don't
That thought process happens as we know we may upset people - I don't want my body to cause upset and harm.
I think both are offensive.
On the other hand, if nudity is going to be more widely accepted by society, it is going to have to become more ubiquitous and less surprising.
I have similar thoughts when naked hiking.
So where does this leave us?
Until these questions are resolved, it seems closed off naked spaces will always have a function.
But maybe, just maybe, the reactions shown might not even be that typical or representative.
Acute embarrassment might be an another possibility.
