Hi there! As we approach the closing of JoAnn stores, here's a 🧵 from an employee (me!) to advise the cosplay community and crafters out there, with how to help with a positive end to this beloved store.

1- use your gift cards and coupons ASAP. They might not be good for long.
2- stay calm. Idk why people go feral with sales. Just shop as normal without destroying the store pls!
3- if there's anything you decide not to take, and you can't put it back where it was, just bring it to the register or cutting counter. Don't leave it in some random place or where it doesn't belong. It makes putting things back difficult or trying to find things even harder.
4- if you're getting fabric cut, please be ready with your measurements. If you need help, then be open to suggestions on how much to get.
5- don't hold the fabric while it's being cut. You may think you're helping, but employees actually get in trouble for it.
7- don't ask for special cuts (ex. "I need 3 one yard cuts of this fabric"). Depending on what it is and if you're nice, exceptions can be made, but we're technically not allowed to.
8- we probably know just as much as you do about the stores closing.
And last but not least- PLEASE be nice. Please be patient. Please help keep the stores clean (don't leave trash, drinks, etc.) and please remember that things are gonna get chaotic and busy, so please be mindful!!
