i thought RTD was trash. the only really good eps and characters that came out of the RTD era were created and written by moffat. hush, girl in the fireplace, jack, donna, weeping angels, are you my mummy, all moffat. RTD gave us tiles giving blowjobs and farting aliens.

Really a shame. I liked Ncuti overall and he had so much promise! His closing words really showed what his Doctor tried to bring to the series. Joy. Unfortunately, like others are saying, it gets drowned out by all of the noise of people claiming it's pushing an agenda. I hope the show recovers

I say it's also fans who don't want to let "their Doctor" go. My Doctor is Eccleston, and will always be my favorite, but I have also enjoyed everyone after him.

Too many just want Theirs to be the only one.

I don't blame her...one of my favorite heroes of all time is Captain Janeway from Voyager (SO well written and performed). Jodi had...just....the worst writing. I'm a Timeless Child hater. lol Some of The Other/Cartmell master plan stuff envisioned in the old days was much better in mythos and scope

Quite the saga through the last three doctors. I warmed to Peter Capaldi but during Jodie Whitaker's run I was really unhappy with a lot of the feel & writing. Russell bringing back much of what's good, but it sounds like uncertainty & scheduling led to Ncuti Gatwa leaving early?

I think it took Capaldi too long to find the doctor he wanted to be and then after him the writing became absolutely horrendous. It's been on a downward spiral ever since. The signs were showing before Disney came into play, not that they've helped either, but this started before them.
