I think an underrated thing with the outsourcing is the distance the NFL has if/when there are contract disputes, price increases etc that may impact the fans.

Fans can complain about NFL Sunday Ticket, but never about the NFL directly. It’s a good shield for the shield.

i don’t know that i buy that the nfl cares what the fans think is expensive. i’ve seen ticket and beer prices.

It’s not about the NFL caring about pricing, it’s that the fans will blame an entity that’s a bit removed from the NFL itself. Selling Sunday Ticket coverage off to somewhat else gives them a scapegoat to hide behind when it comes to pricing I think

the fact that a company pays that’s to have it simply means it brings in even more than they get paid for it. thats why i’m surprised
