Why do we have to accept being the revenue? I think there may be enough people who hate that comes with that business model that it may be feasible to encourage subscription to high quality community that provides safety and keeps ads, others out.

If it wants to replace Twitter, then T&S is essential and learning from the mistakes of its predecessors would help. Otherwise this beta is starting from a different place than Twitter, but not likely to add much more value to people’s lives.

When I joined here I made the mistake of constrictive pointing things out that need improvement and also comparing to experiences I had with other sites how certain things work better / not as well (not the first time I have been software tester).

I was told to leave if I dont like it.

I have been on every social network since the start of myspace and was even on the weird german facebook copies they tried to establish. I love testing new things and see how stuff develops. I think if you love technology, thats what you do.
