oh ok, i was definitely using it wrong then. i was kinda using it like it would be a full powered blender. But it sounds like it would be more helpful when making crockpot soups. I usually chop up veggies and then put them in my blender
i bought a $15 Aooox or whatever nonsense Chinese brand one to use at the pottery studio and it's great too. i assumed its life would be short grinding up minerals but it's going strong after months of abuse
YES YOU ARE 100000% CORRECT I FUCKING LOVE MY IMMERSION BLENDER!
I can make: hollandaise, aioli, mayo, caeser dressing, hummus, Tahini, butter-from-scratch, SO MANY OPTIONS.
If you have an immersion blender, a kitchen knife, a cast iron skillet and a Dutch oven you can do ANYTHING.
careful with that cup/chopper attachment on the Cuisinart, if you use it on constant, the plastic near the top gets very hot and it fuses itself together. gotta use it in pulses!

and the mini food processor is great so I don't have to get out the big one for smaller jobs
small enough for any kitchen, fairly cheap and unbeatable for versatility.
