All of these are better for travel than AirPods Max. I forgot my Sonos at home and I’m taking a 16 hour flight on Monday and realized they no longer work with a wired adapter. And have shit battery. So I had to buy a second AirFly (left that too) just so I can use my $550 headphones with IFE - ThreadSky

How do you like the Sonos Ace? I love my Sonos stuff in general but with the app fiasco I’m hesitant to spend more money with them right now.

I love them — but disclosure: I paid $225. I think $350 is the right price. Very comfortable. The app awfulness doesn’t impact them. They come with a great case and accessories. Very comfortable. The downside is line all non-apple/beats headphones, the seamless pairing isn’t ideal on Mac/ios

The Sonos functionality is sort of a gimmick right now — you need to have a soundbar for it to work. I do — so I really do like that feature. But I wish I could use it with my turntable, wirelessly. If you already have Bose or Sonys, I don’t think you need them. But for the right price I love them

I definitely wouldn’t pay $450 for them. Just get the Sonys or even Bose Ultra’s at that price. I think for $350 for Sonos Arc/Ray/Beam owners, it’s a good value especially if you need solid noise canceling headphones

Yes but it doesn’t work like Apple stuff does on Apple platforms. So it works but it is still more of a pain than anything AirPods/Beats

I cannot recommend the Sony XM4s enough. I bought mine... 3 years ago(?) and they are excellent. My home office was in the same room as our washer and dryer - I had no problem with the noise in that space thanks to these.

I got an AirFly for a recent trip but found the audio delay too annoying for videos. Do you just ignore that or is there a way to get them in sync?

On an airplane I just deal with it. I find it to be usable. Better than not having it at all.
