Interviewing David Lynch must have been an incredible experience—his impact on film and art is truly unmatched. His legacy will continue to inspire for generations.
Good for you.
I once met John Waters by accident and thanked him for just being him.
If I would've met David Lynch, I would've cried when I thanked him for making "The Straight Story."
I didn’t realize till today that I have never have a concept in my head that David Lynch could die. I expected him to keep suddenly put out something ridiculously wonderful once a while. Giant loss to the film world.
I thought the phrase "a damn good cup of coffee" and that's all it took to get the water works going. There's so many weird visionary ass holes out there. There are too many to lose one who, by all indication, was so kind.
Damn, what was that experience like? I bet he was a fascinating guy to talk to. Do you have a video link (if it was recorded) or a link to the article? I'd love to see the interview if possible!
I’ll see if I can find it but media companies making bad decisions to delist articles from Google might make it hard. It was largely about TM rather than film but it was still incredible.
