Debating if we should make a cybertrucks of SEMA post to demonstrate our point.

In years past the demonstrator vehicle would have been Corvette C8, F-150/250, assorted Tesla if catering to EV markets. This year it's profoundly Cybertruck.

Yeah, but Cybertruck is more of a cultural phenomenon. It’s a rolling billboard for attention, and I’ve seen first hand where businesses are seizing on that opportunity. But for everyday work and recreational use, it’s a different story vs. the novelty of the Cybertruck.

Plenty of F series, Silverado, Sierra, Ram's are sold to businesses every day who also do nothing more than use them to drive a sales person to quote job sites. Never tows, hauls anything ever.

The Sierra EV Denali makes a lot more sense than the Silverado EV RST that's similarly priced as it is more luxurious and ICE Denali customers are already used to paying close to $100G for all-in trucks.

I could see this being an anti-Cybertruck for successful contractors.

It's also a lot more functional than the Hummer, which has been picking up sales. FWIW, the Cybertruck does have a real bed.

Expensive ICE trucks are big profit generators and so maybe they're just hoping the same thing will happen with EVs. Change the powertrain, not the business plan.
