Amazon -- despite having huge swaths of money -- wants Twitch to be profitable in order to keep it operational. And we have to remember that Twitch has never been profitable, so they could have really gone after something super major (not saying this isn’t important too ofc) to save even more money

Oh they are going to change more. It's hard to be profitable as a streaming company. Facebook learned that the hard way, and they gutted FB Gaming as a result.

Yeah, I’d been thinking about highlights for a year now like damn that’s a lot of money for storage, they may limit clip amounts or stream lengths next imo

I don't think they'll ever fully limit stream lengths, as those make too much money for them. But then again, you never know. Could limit the length for affiliates since most affiliates do not make Twitch money at all.

If anything, start grabbing your highlights, VODs, and so on. Throw them on YouTube. Create playlists that specify VODs (mine is Past Live Streams), Highlights, and so on.

Faceboook is also implementing a similar policy as well, so it's going to be interesting to see where streaming goes from here.
