Honestly, I went a lot on instinct! I *think* I started with the idea of there being a radiant/benevolent being that smaller creatures were in awe of, then it just evolved from that. Plus I wanted an excuse to make A Lot Of Little Guys™ as that makes me happy!

MTV Europe back in the 90s was such a huge influence on me. The animation idents were so good and some amazingly weird stuff came out of it. This is brilliant and reminds me of that!

Thank you Jess! This is high praise as I was exactly the same! We got Sky around 1994, I think? MTV & Nickelodeon were these incredible thing I'd only ever seen in movies so I watched them RELENTLESSLY.

Yes, Nickelodeon too!! Aeon Flux and The Maxx are still two of my faves and early wonky Rugrats is still great. They both went to town with idents though. The Sci-Fi Channel was my go-to for anime!

They commissioned a whole bunch of artists for this project and also credited everyone involved.

I would also randomly get messages, from friends and strangers, whenever they saw it being broadcast, which was always a joy!
