Models new to Bluesky - let photographers you've worked with know you're here, so we can post images of you and include the link to your feed. And you should repost photographers' images of you. Spreads the word - and exposure - pretty quickly

Absolutely! This is a great suggestion Tony. If Rachel Lilly ever joins, Gino Listo and I have about 20 photos of her we've posted that we'd go back and add her Bluesky handle. And yeah, I was about to post a #6--repost what other photographers have taken of you.

Do it a lot! Do it with friends! Do it by yourself! Do it all the time! LOL. I am always impressed by the enthusiasm and determination to make a great image present in the best models I've met. Find established models that seem to share your vibe and follow them. See who they work with.

As a photographer, I created (in my head, at least) a map of the ecosystem that I was seeing. Who travels where, who shoots with whom, who seemed omnipresent...from a model perspective, sketching out the circuit and who might be in which city is a great way to map travels.

And? I'm reaching out to every model I still have contact info for to post a page on Blue, post uncensored images, & monitor responses. State your location or travel tours. Use it as one more marketing tool currently. It WILL lead to fresh bookings--guaranteed.

I mentioned lists and starter packs as a good way to quickly connect with people. Go to @thomasholmphoto.bsky.social and on his profile look at "lists." You'll see he's put together nice lists of photographers and also models who do art nude work. You can click on this list and follow people.

5. Use starter packs and lists. Find a well-known and active photographer or model--they probably have a starter pack or list of "Art Models" or "Art Photographers" and you can go through that and follow people you know or admire or want to work with. I check out accounts of people who follow me.

3. If you travel, absolutely post your tour dates. Or the general areas you travel (ie: "anywhere in Pennsylvania"). 4. Absolutely post your other sites (if you're on IG or OF or you have your own website). 5. Enable the ability to send you direct messages (rather than just comments).

Here are some initial tips I'd offer: 1. Provide some content. I see dozens of models I know who have an account and then no photo. People need to get that this isn't just a fake account by a scammer. Even if it's just 1-2 pictures. 2. Do indicate where you are--even if just generally.
