Im pretty interested in graph theory but I’m not sure if I’m going to take it because the term it’s on offer is also the term where complex analysis is taught. Abstract algebra was another personality defining moment haha
Similar but a little different. Real analysis is focused on the reals which is an ordered field but not algebraic one like the complex numbers. A lot of interesting results happen when you go into the complex plain and some of those results only exist there
Oh okay, I remember now. It’s just the counterpart to real analysis. Real analysis literally killed me. Haha I had the worst teacher I’ve ever had and I got a D in the course as a grad student. debilitating.
I believe it. I just took the baby version of real analysis and had to fight tooth and nail for my good grade. I’m way more of an abstract algebra/geometry guy but there is enough interesting stuff in c.a. that I’m thinking v seriously about taking it
