But, no one is making you use A.I., you are free to make art and show passion, you just probably can’t make a living. Making a living from art is a perk but it isn’t why y’all make art in the first place.

If people appreciate your work they’ll pay, those that can’t afford to or don’t want to pay have the choice of using A.I. I’m still not understanding so many artists complaints. The people that want to use A. I. weren’t gonna pay for your talents anyways.
If it’s about training there are people that draw or paint imitating artists all the time, their styles are nearly identical sometimes so other than it being a computer what’s the difference? I’m legitimately asking because I don’t get the anger. Imitation is imitation.
A human imitating a style is still making decisions of their own to make something unique. An AI prompted to imitate an artist is not; it's just replicating patterns. When artists imitate styles, it's done to learn, and most will develop different styles as they get more comfortable.
The reason artists are upset about AI is that it's not only designed to replace us, it uses our work without our permission to do so. I can't think of anything more insulting.
because you can type prompts into a computer and have it spit out something pretty (which comes from stolen art.) but that doesnt make it art. art is created by a person, it is made with an intention or at least feeling— it doesnt even matter if looks good. a computer cannot do this.
Are you seriously telling me that you can’t tell the difference between a living, breathing human being and an application that only runs on logic, incapable of understanding context and nuance?
