The SNES Ys 3 generally suffers the most with that pre-set music library... but the opening town theme is great on SNES.

Also I like the Genesis Valis III OST better than PC Engine... maybe it's just my love for that Yamaha YM2612.

i’m having trouble looking this up again but i feel like i recall the Genesis/SNES versions of Zombies ate my Neighbors having different bonus levels. iirc Day of the Tentacle bonus level was SNES only?

I bring this up as often as I can, which is never because nobody cares, but I really prefer the Genesis Zombies Ate My Neighbors because the radar is always on the screen. In 2 player, you have 2 radars being toggled on and off covering half of the screen. and the genesis is way cooler. Red blood?

Hey Joe, just watched this last episode and here's a hack that allows you to play ZAMN in wide mode, removing the black bars. I thought you might like it...the SNES version is still better though.😅

With regard to Zombies Ate My Neighbors, you may right that SNES was regarded as the “primary” platform but developer Mike Ebert talks about designing with both platforms in mind toward the end of this interview 8:40 mark).

I love this game. Split screen, four player and new modes like zombie vs. kids etc. the original is such a great game that only modern QoL additive things and more content would be nice to add.
