Oh yeah Jackie is not stupid and I think people lean into a stereotype that just isn’t present in the text but would USUALLY be for a lot of things for her tbh. One of my favorite parts of s2 was the nice SAT word hallucination jackie scene bc Shauna even knows she underestimates her out of habit—

—and I think that jackie does struggle to pick up on certain things but overall she’s much more inactive than unaware post crash. Once she finds out the things shauna has done and said about her she is too depressed to do anything even if she knows what she could do
