He really isn't. His mom was from Canada, Musk himself was born and raised in South Africa. He moved to Canada briefly as an adult, lived here a total of three years, and then moved to the US and has lived there since. He is not Canadian.
According to the Wikipedia profile on Musk, he moved from South Africa and acquired Canadian citizenship before moving to the US. He is in fact a Canadian!
Ya like I said, he moved to Canada for three years when he was in university. He then moved to the US in 1992 and has lived there for THIRTY THREE years. He has lived in the US literally eleven times longer than he was ever in Canada. Him having citizenship through his mom in no way makes him ours
