In Iceland!?! Holy shit. I hope they release more information about this. I don't know much about Iceland but I don't think birds when I think of it. I know they have puffins and harlequin ducks. I wonder if H5N1 has been found in those populations?

It's the H5N5 varient. A lot of the gray geese have gotten it and it's spreading fast 💔 before Christmas a turkey farm had it and they put down a couple thousand turkeys. Iceland has a very large wild bird population, less people, more land means more bird species, huge cat community too
