Absolutely. Got to hope that’s a wake up call to the squad that nothings achieved yet so we can go again. Areola is such a good coach too, their press was every bit like we want/ think ours is
82 83 maybe 83 84 Fulham was a 3 2 win from being 2 1 down...toon poor today, but in a week we're ive been told my cancer is back, not worst result of week. Sure nufc and me will be in better fettle soon.
Couldn't agree more, they moved the ball so fast and accurately. The best team at St James Park this season. I truly thought Wednesday nights victory was a case of small margins, wolves could have easily walked away with a draw and we couldn't have complained. Anyway, congratulations to Bournemouth
Yes, I agree with all that. Wednesday didn’t feel like a 3-0 to me and perhaps in retrospect a few warning signs were there. Bournemouth were really good though. Hopefully a bit of rest this week will help - Southampton is a good test now!
Always felt the winning run would go with a whimper not a bang, Bournemouth have earned their league position - excellent all round with the ball, niggly little gits off it - shocked it took so long to book some of them
Don’t really understand the application from our lads, felt cocky and arrogant. Not often we see that from an Eddie Howe coached team, but when we do, it’s usually against his beloved Bournemouth.
We got away with it against Wolves. I thought that was quite a sloppy performance. Difference today was the quality of opposition. They played like we wanted to.
Often amazed by the ability of certain teams who come to st James who can move the ball quickly and with precision. Only about half of our starting eleven can do that.
My next response is to consider that 9 game winning run and how good it was. Today was a bad day, but everyone is allowed one of those. There were too many earlier this season, since when #NUFC have shown they’re a very very good team. Southampton is a great test & great opportunity.
You’re far too rational for football sometimes George, didn’t you realise that everything is supposed to be either absolutely mint or an absolute disaster?
They were excellent, best away performance I have seen at SJP for a long time. We were sloppy but the Bournemouth performance was a big factor in that. On to the next one.
Very good. Ran circles round us. Need to pick ourselves up. Couple of (on paper) winnable games- play like we did against Arsenal and it’s 6 points, play like we day and we will get nowt and we will be out the League Cup final
